How We Would Test Boots After 100 Kilometres

A credible field-test method starts after the unboxing—when mud, heat and repeated descents expose the truth.

Sample byline: Arjun Kumar

A concept protocol for evaluating grip, drainage, fit and durability in Malaysian conditions without turning a future review into a product brochure.

A product specification cannot tell you what happens after four hours in warm rain. A credible field test should record fit from the first walk, then repeat the same observations after wet climbs, long descents and complete drying cycles.

Grip must be judged on the surfaces users actually meet: wet roots, loose laterite, granite and smooth steps. Drainage matters as much as waterproofing in Malaysia, where trapped water and heat can cause more trouble than a brief soaking.

A future review should not publish a score until the equipment has visible wear. Any supplied product or affiliate relationship must be disclosed, and commercial partners must not approve the conclusion.
